1st CISM East Asia Judo Cham­pi­onship to be or­ga­nized in Ulaan­baatar

The very first East Asia Judo Cham­pi­onship will be or­ga­nized by the In­ter­na­tional Mil­i­tary Sports Coun­cil (CISM) at Buyant-Ukhaa Sports Com­plex on September 8 and 9.

Ju­dokas from China, South Korea, North Korea, Kaza­khstan, Viet­nam and Saudi Arab have reg­is­tered to com­pete in the tour­na­ment.

Ac­cord­ing to the CISM reg­u­la­tions, com­peti­tors must be ac­tive mil­i­tary per­son­nel with the armed forces of their coun­tries.

Al­dar Sports Com­mit­tee of Mon­go­lia has been ac­tively com­pet­ing in the tour­na­ments or­ga­nized by the CISM. In the past, Mon­go­lian ath­letes se­cured six gold, 12 silver and six bronze medals from the 2015 World Mil­i­tary Games, four gold medals from the 2015 World Mil­i­tary Wrestling Cham­pi­onships, and four gold and two bronze medals from the 2016 World Mil­i­tary Judo Cham­pi­onship in Switzer­land.
