1st CISM East Asia Judo Championship to be organized in Ulaanbaatar
The very first East Asia Judo Championship will be organized by the International Military Sports Council (CISM) at Buyant-Ukhaa Sports Complex on September 8 and 9.
Judokas from China, South Korea, North Korea, Kazakhstan, Vietnam and Saudi Arab have registered to compete in the tournament.
According to the CISM regulations, competitors must be active military personnel with the armed forces of their countries.
Aldar Sports Committee of Mongolia has been actively competing in the tournaments organized by the CISM. In the past, Mongolian athletes secured six gold, 12 silver and six bronze medals from the 2015 World Military Games, four gold medals from the 2015 World Military Wrestling Championships, and four gold and two bronze medals from the 2016 World Military Judo Championship in Switzerland.
