Minister Ts.Munkh-Orgil talks with Bhutanese Foreign Minister to develop mutual cooperation
Minister of Foreign Minister Ts.Munkh-Orgil met with Foreign Affairs Minister of Bhutan Damcho Dorji in Ulaanbaatar on September 6.
During the meeting, Minister Dorji pointed out that Bhutan is interested in buying Mongolian dog and frozen sperm of Mongolian horse and yak, and hope to train Bhutanese students in Mongolian universities of agriculture and health. He also noted that Bhutan wants their soldiers to participate in the multinational peacekeeping exercise Khaan Quest, which is hosted in Mongolia every year.
Minister Dorji highlighted that the government of Bhutan supports Mongolia’s initiative to establish an International Think Tank for Landlocked Developing Countries in Ulaanbaatar and the Bhutan will officially join the multilateral treaty for establishing the think tank. He asked Minister Ts.Munkh-Orgil to focus on developing tourism cooperation by promoting both countries.
Minister Ts.Munkh-Orgil emphasized that during his visit to Bhutan in 2016, he discussed developing collaboration between agriculture, tourism and health sectors of the two countries with Bhutanese high level officials, and noted that Minister Dorji’s visit to Mongolia will be of significant importance to moving forward cooperation issues between the two nations.
