Min­is­ter Ts.Munkh-Orgil talks with Bhutanese For­eign Min­is­ter to de­velop mu­tual co­op­er­a­tion

Min­is­ter of For­eign Min­is­ter Ts.Munkh-Orgil met with For­eign Af­fairs Min­is­ter of Bhutan Dam­cho Dorji in Ulaan­baatar on Septem­ber 6.

Dur­ing the meet­ing, Min­is­ter Dorji pointed out that Bhutan is in­ter­ested in buy­ing Mon­go­lian dog and frozen sperm of Mon­go­lian horse and yak, and hope to train Bhutanese stu­dents in Mon­go­lian uni­ver­si­ties of agri­cul­ture and health. He also noted that Bhutan wants their sol­diers to par­tic­i­pate in the multi­na­tional peace­keep­ing ex­er­cise Khaan Quest, which is hosted in Mongolia ev­ery year.

Min­is­ter Dorji high­lighted that the gov­ern­ment of Bhutan sup­ports Mongolia’s ini­tia­tive to es­tab­lish an In­ter­na­tional Think Tank for Land­locked De­vel­op­ing Coun­tries in Ulaan­baatar and the Bhutan will of­fi­cially join the mul­ti­lat­eral treaty for es­tab­lish­ing the think tank. He asked Min­is­ter Ts.Munkh-Orgil to fo­cus on de­vel­op­ing tourism co­op­er­a­tion by pro­mot­ing both coun­tries.

Min­is­ter Ts.Munkh-Orgil em­pha­sized that dur­ing his visit to Bhutan in 2016, he dis­cussed de­vel­op­ing col­lab­o­ra­tion be­tween agri­cul­ture, tourism and health sec­tors of the two coun­tries with Bhutanese high level of­fi­cials, and noted that Min­is­ter Dorji’s visit to Mongolia will be of sig­nif­i­cant im­por­tance to mov­ing for­ward co­op­er­a­tion is­sues be­tween the two na­tions.
