On­line data­base to be set up for con­sti­tu­tional amend­ment pro­pos­als

The task force in charge of con­sti­tu­tional amend­ments held a press brief­ing on Sep­tem­ber 12 to re­port about open dis­cus­sions on con­sti­tu­tional amend­ments.

Mem­ber of the task force and MP G.Zan­dan­shatar noted that seven groups led by par­lia­men­tary stand­ing com­mit­tees mod­er­ated 63 dis­cus­sions in 21 prov­inces and in Ulaan­baatar’s nine dis­tricts for a month, and 4,705 gov­ern­ment of­fi­cials and 12,797 cit­i­zens par­tic­i­pated in the dis­cus­sions.

The task force re­ceived 129,258 pro­pos­als for con­sti­tu­tional amend­ments from prov­inces and 110,000 pro­pos­als from dis­tricts through post, e-mail and so­cial me­dia.

G.Zan­dan­shatar stated that of­fi­cials of the Par­lia­men­tary Sec­re­tariat’s In­for­ma­tion Tech­nol­ogy Depart­ment are typ­ing-up all pro­pos­als re­ceived from the pub­lic for an on­line data­base. Af­ter all pro­pos­als are pub­lished on Par­lia­ment’s web­site, cit­i­zens will be able to ac­cess and re­view pub­lic feed­back and pro­pos­als for con­sti­tu­tional amend­ments, the task force said.
