‘LAND OF THE HORSES’
Artist T.Badamjunai is showcasing his solo exhibition “Land of the Horses” at Bum Art Gallery from September13 to 22. He presents over 30 fine arts to the people through this exhibition.
He graduated from the School of Fine Arts in 1977 and earned his master degree in art from the Mongolian State University of Education in 2013. Since 1986, he has participated in a number of domestic and international art exhibitions.
The artist said that the beautiful nature of Battsengel soum of Arkhangai Province, which is surrounded by Orkhon and Tamir rivers, hills and trees of Khangai Mountains motivated him to become an artist when he was a child.
T.Badamjunai pointed out that there are a lot of artists in Mongolia who paint nature, horses and Mongolian nomadic lifestyle, but artists who express with the perfect composition of color, shape, melody and other tones of the nature are rare, and noted that he believes that he is one of them.
He stressed that his mentor, G.Odon, a famous Mongolian state honored artist, would always tell him that if an artist reflects the unbelievable and unusual tones of the nature in his or her artworks by capturing and feeling them through their mind, the artwork will be better than others. That is why he tries to paint his fine arts by pursuing a different angle reflecting new ideas and creative initiative.
