Mongolia to cooperate with OSCE in combating human trafficking
Acting Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs B.Battsetseg met with special representative of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) on Combating Trafficking in Human Beings and Ambassador Madina Jarbussynova on Friday in Ulaanbaatar.
During the meeting, B.Battsetseg emphasized that as protecting human rights is outlined in key parts of Mongolia’s foreign policy and its National Security Concept, the government of Mongolia is implementing the National Program Against Human Trafficking from 2017 to 2021.
She stated that Mongolia wants to closely collaborate with OSCE in improving the competency of law enforcement officials and educating the public to raise awareness about the importance of combating and preventing human trafficking.
Jarbussynova noted that she will help Mongolia train its law enforcement officials through OSCE’s workshops and other programs to promote the country’s efforts in combating and preventing human trafficking.
