MON­GO­LIA CLAIMS 24 MEDALS AT 9th WORLD BODY­BUILD­ING AND PHYSIC SPORTS CHAM­PI­ONSHIPS

Mon­go­lia suc­cess­fully hosted the ninth World Body­build­ing and Physique Sports Cham­pi­onships from Oc­to­ber 3 to 9 at UB Palace.

More than 400 ath­letes from 40 coun­tries com­peted in 42 cat­e­gories for ju­nior, adults, and mas­ter’s age di­vi­sions of the tour­na­ment in Ulaan­baatar.

As the host coun­try, Mon­go­lia was rep­re­sented by 64 ath­letes at the World Cham­pi­onships and seized eight gold, nine sil­ver and seven bronze medals.

Mon­go­lian ath­lete G.Ugalzt­set­seg won her third World Cham­pi­onships gold medal in the women’s ath­letic physique up to 165 cm cat­e­gory. She pre­vi­ously brought home gold medals from the World Body­build­ing and Physique Sports Cham­pi­onships in 2015 and 2016.
