Mon­go­lia to col­lab­o­rate with Ja­pan in sports

Min­is­ter of Ed­u­ca­tion, Cul­ture, Sci­ence and Sports Ts.Tsog­zol­maa met with Mem­ber of the Ja­panese House of Rep­re­sen­ta­tives Seiji Ki­hara and Mayor of the Tokyo sub­urb of Musashimu­rayama Masaru Fu­jino in Ulaan­baatar to ex­change views about on­go­ing and up­com­ing sports co­op­er­a­tion be­tween Mon­go­lia and Ja­pan.

Dur­ing the meet­ing, the sides talked about Ja­panese as­sis­tance for Mon­go­lian ath­letes who will par­tic­i­pate in the Tokyo 2020 Sum­mer Olympics and 2020 Sum­mer Par­a­lympics by hold­ing a joint train­ing with Ja­panese ath­letes in Musashimu­rayama and other Ja­panese ci­ties, and through ex­change pro­grams for the two coun­tries’ coaches.

Min­is­ter Ts.Tsog­zol­maa dis­cussed col­lab­o­rat­ing with Ja­pan to train Mon­go­lian ex­perts more about sports sci­ence and medicine in Ja­pan.

Ki­hara said that he will fo­cus on strength­en­ing re­la­tion­ships be­tween the two na­tion’s youth through sports co­op­er­a­tion, and cre­ate a pro­gram that will mo­ti­vate such re­la­tions un­der a long-term com­pre­hen­sive co­op­er­a­tion part­ner­ship be­tween the two coun­tries.
