Chinese Justice Minister visits Mongolia to strengthen legal cooperation
Prime Minister U.Khurelsukh met with China’s Minister of Justice Zhang Jun on Monday at the State Palace to exchange ideas on legal and some other cooperation between the two countries.
During their meeting, the Prime Minister underlined that collaboration between the legal sectors of the two countries has reached comprehensive strategic partnership level, and stated that he will focus on issues regarding prisoner transfer between the two nations.
The Chinese Minister noted that he will actively work with Mongolian officials to move forward with a program related prisoner transfer between Mongolia and China, and the implementation of China’s Belt and Road Initiative in Mongolia.
Minister Jun also met with Minister of Justice and Internal Affairs Ts.Nyamdorj to discuss legal cooperation between the two countries.
The ministers signed a cooperation program between the two ministries from 2017 to 2021. The two ministers stated that they will actively work to successfully implement the cooperation program in the years to come.
