Min­is­ter D.Tsogt­baatar un­der­lines agri­cul­tural co­op­er­a­tion with Canada

Min­is­ter of For­eign Af­fairs D.Tsogt­baatar re­ceived Am­bas­sador of Canada to Mon­go­lia David Sproule on Novem­ber 6 to dis­cuss op­por­tu­ni­ties for col­lab­o­ra­tion be­tween the two na­tions.

Min­is­ter D.Tsogt­baatar pointed out that de­vel­op­ing eco­nomic co­op­er­a­tion be­tween the two coun­tries in the agri­cul­tural sec­tor will be of great im­por­tance to strength­en­ing bi­lat­eral co­op­er­a­tion.

He also noted that Mon­go­lia has a lot of things to learn about how Canada de­ter­mines it’s eco­nomic and for­eign trade poli­cies, and how to suc­cess­fully im­ple­ment them.

The Cana­dian Am­bas­sador em­pha­sized that de­vel­op­ing de­fense co­op­er­a­tion is more im­por­tant for the two coun­tries, and ex­pressed his sat­is­fac­tion with Mon­go­lia’s suc­cess­ful peace­keep­ing ac­tiv­i­ties.

Am­bas­sador Sproule added that Canada’s in­ter­na­tional de­vel­op­ment bi­lat­eral as­sis­tance pro­gram is be­ing car­ried out suc­cess­fully, and noted that the two coun­tries are de­vel­op­ing mu­tual co­op­er­a­tion through the pro­gram.
