Defense Minister meets British legislators to discuss military cooperation
Minister of Defense N.Enkhbold received members of the United Kingdom’s Parliament, including John Grogan, Adam Holloway, David Morris, Wayne David and Baroness Scott of Needham Market, on November 8 at the State Palace to discuss defense cooperation between Mongolia and the UK.
Minister N.Enkhbold stressed that after a memorandum of cooperation between the defense ministries of the two countries was signed in 2012, the two nation’s defense cooperation was taken to a new level.
The minister asked British legislators to focus on strengthening military collaboration between the two countries under the memorandum by working together in peacekeeping activities, organizing join military training exercises, carrying out exchange programs for army instructors, and developing the sport of polo in the Mongolian Armed Forces.
Member of the British Parliament Wayne David noted that MPs are actively working to develop British defense cooperation with Mongolia, and stated that they will focus on further cooperation.
