De­fense Min­is­ter meets Bri­tish leg­is­la­tors to dis­cuss mil­i­tary co­op­er­a­tion

Min­is­ter of De­fense N.Enkhbold re­ceived mem­bers of the United King­dom’s Par­lia­ment, in­clud­ing John Gro­gan, Adam Hol­loway, David Mor­ris, Wayne David and Baroness Scott of Need­ham Mar­ket, on Novem­ber 8 at the State Palace to dis­cuss de­fense co­op­er­a­tion be­tween Mon­go­lia and the UK.

Min­is­ter N.Enkhbold stressed that after a mem­o­ran­dum of co­op­er­a­tion be­tween the de­fense min­istries of the two coun­tries was signed in 2012, the two na­tion’s de­fense co­op­er­a­tion was taken to a new level.

The min­is­ter asked Bri­tish leg­is­la­tors to fo­cus on strength­en­ing mil­i­tary col­lab­o­ra­tion be­tween the two coun­tries un­der the mem­o­ran­dum by work­ing to­gether in peace­keep­ing ac­tiv­i­ties, or­ga­niz­ing join mil­i­tary train­ing ex­er­cises, car­ry­ing out ex­change pro­grams for army in­struc­tors, and de­vel­op­ing the sport of polo in the Mon­go­lian Armed Forces.

Mem­ber of the Bri­tish Par­lia­ment Wayne David noted that MPs are ac­tively work­ing to de­velop Bri­tish de­fense co­op­er­a­tion with Mon­go­lia, and stated that they will fo­cus on fur­ther co­op­er­a­tion.
