UB and Prague agree to broaden cooperation
Mayor of Ulaanbaatar S.Batbold received Ambassador of the Czech Republic to Mongolia Jiri Brodsky on Wednesday to explore potential areas of cooperation.
The meeting was joined by I.Batkhuu, the Head of Project, Program and Cooperation Division of the Ulaanbaatar Mayor’s Office, D.Indra, the Deputy Head of Ulaanbaatar Road Development Agency, and J.Davaasuren, the Head of Policy Cooperation Division of the Ulaanbaatar Mayor’s Office, as well as Iva Sustakova, the third Secretary of the Embassy of Czech Republic, who manages the Commercial and Economic Section, and Eva Biolcokova, a trade manager at Gravis Industry LLC.
At the meeting, Ambassador Brodsky stated that he is primarily interested in partnering with Ulaanbaatar authorities in the fields of public transportation, environment, and smart city development. He emphasized that it would be best for Ulaanbaatar and Prague to broaden their cooperation, especially in the public transportation sector.
The Mongolian side accepted the Czech Ambassador’s proposal and briefed about the current situation in Ulaanbaatar and some pressing problems such as heavy traffic and lack of parking. The two sides exchanged opinions about ways to resolve these issues together.
Mayor S.Batbold told Ambassador Brodsky that Ulaanbaatar is open for collaboration and partnership in all fields with the Czech Republic.
