UB and Prague agree to broaden co­op­er­a­tion

Mayor of Ulaan­baatar S.Bat­bold re­ceived Am­bas­sador of the Czech Re­pub­lic to Mon­go­lia Jiri Brodsky on Wed­nes­day to ex­plore po­ten­tial ar­eas of co­op­er­a­tion.

The meet­ing was joined by I.Batkhuu, the Head of Project, Pro­gram and Co­op­er­a­tion Di­vi­sion of the Ulaan­baatar Mayor’s Of­fice, D.In­dra, the Deputy Head of Ulaan­baatar Road De­vel­op­ment Agency, and J.Davaa­suren, the Head of Pol­icy Co­op­er­a­tion Di­vi­sion of the Ulaan­baatar Mayor’s Of­fice, as well as Iva Sus­takova, the third Sec­re­tary of the Em­bassy of Czech Re­pub­lic, who man­ages the Com­mer­cial and Eco­nomic Sec­tion, and Eva Bi­ol­cokova, a trade man­ager at Gravis In­dus­try LLC.

At the meet­ing, Am­bas­sador Brodsky stated that he is pri­mar­ily in­ter­ested in part­ner­ing with Ulaan­baatar author­i­ties in the fields of pub­lic trans­porta­tion, en­vi­ron­ment, and smart city de­vel­op­ment. He em­pha­sized that it would be best for Ulaan­baatar and Prague to broaden their co­op­er­a­tion, es­pe­cially in the pub­lic trans­porta­tion sec­tor.

The Mon­go­lian side ac­cepted the Czech Am­bas­sador’s pro­posal and briefed about the cur­rent sit­u­a­tion in Ulaan­baatar and some press­ing prob­lems such as heavy traf­fic and lack of park­ing. The two sides ex­changed opin­ions about ways to re­solve th­ese is­sues to­gether.

Mayor S.Bat­bold told Am­bas­sador Brodsky that Ulaan­baatar is open for col­lab­o­ra­tion and part­ner­ship in all fields with the Czech Re­pub­lic.
