Prime Minister U.Khurelsukh met 17-year-old eagle huntress N.Aisholpan of Bayan-Ulgii Province on November 9 to congratulate her on winning the Asian Game Changer Award.

The 11th grader N.Aisholpan won the Asian Game Changer Awards 2017 on November 1 in New York for “breaking gender barriers at a remarkably young age”, with the help of a documentary about her journey to becoming an eagle huntress, titled “The Eagle Huntress”.

U.Khurelsukh said, “You showed girls could also hunt with eagles, not just boys. You also promoted how women could be patient, brave and powerful to the world. I want to express my gratitude on behalf of the state. Please deliver my thankfulness to your parents for raising a girl like you.”

N.Aisholpan said she dreams of becoming a doctor. She said, “Starring in a film is nice, but I still want to become a doctor.”

N.Aisholpan started training her eagle at age 10 and won the 2014 Eagle Festival when she was 13 years old after beating 40 eagle hunters.
