Foreign Affairs Minister discuss meat export with Laos Ambassador
Minister of Foreign Affairs D.Tsogtbaatar met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Lao People's Democratic Republic Sialounkone Seng-Outhone on November 13 to talk about some aspects of mutual cooperation.
During the meeting, the pair exchanged views on organizing a consultative meeting of the foreign affairs ministries of Laos and Mongolia in Vientiane, the capital of Laos, as well as the establishment of a memorandum of cooperation between the two foreign affairs ministries. They discussed mutual collaboration to export Mongolian livestock meat to Laos.
The Laotian Ambassador stated that he will actively work to further economic cooperation projects to export frozen meat and carpets from Mongolia to Laos, and import agricultural products from Laos to Mongolia.
Minister D.Tsogtbaatar thanked the government of Laos for supporting Mongolia’s initiative to establish the International Think Tank for Landlocked Developing Countries in Ulaanbaatar, and asked Ambassador Seng-Outhone to actively collaborate under the think tank. At the end of the meeting, the Mongolian Foreign Minister invited Laotian Minister of Foreign Affairs to visit Mongolia.
