Chess Grand­mas­ter D.Nomin-Er­dene wins the Sil­ver Cup in Hun­gary


In­ter­na­tional chess tour­na­ment took place in mem­ory of Bodi Ta­mas in Peter­vasara, Hun­gary.

Some 84 play­ers par­tic­i­pated in the tour­na­ment, which was held in the Swiss sys­tem (none­lim­i­nat­ing tour­na­ment).

Mon­go­lia’s chess grand­mas­ter D.Nom­inEr­dene took sec­ond place with 6.5 points out of seven matches in Rapid com­pe­ti­tion (the player gets 15 min­utes and +10 sec­onds for each move). Fur­ther­more, she seized sec­ond place with seven wins out of nine matches in the Blitz com­pe­ti­tion (the player gets 3 min­utes and +2 sec­onds for each move) where 77 play­ers par­tic­i­pated and won the Sil­ver Cup of the com­pe­ti­tion.

D.Nomin-Er­dene be­came a grand­mas­ter at the age of 15, which made her the fourth fe­male chess player to earn this ti­tle in Mon­go­lia.
