UB pro­claims 2018 as ‘Year to Im­prove Liv­ing Con­di­tion with Pub­lic In­volve­ment’

The Ulaan­baatar Mayor’s Of­fice de­clared 2018 as the “Year to Im­prove Liv­ing Con­di­tion with Pub­lic In­volve­ment” in an ef­fort to carry out key so­cial and eco­nomic de­vel­op­ment goals in the mayor’s ac­tion plan, con­sider pub­lic ideas when mak­ing de­ci­sions, and en­cour­age pub­lic in­volve­ment.

Projects and ini­tia­tives to be im­ple­mented within the frame­work of this de­ci­sion will be dis­cussed and ap­proved at the Ulaan­baatar mayor’s coun­cil meet­ing.

Through this work, the Ulaan­baatar Mayor’s Of­fice plans to launch “Our khoroo – My Street” cam­paign to stim­u­late pub­lic in­volve­ment in in­creas­ing land­scap­ing and de­vel­op­ment work, as well as ex­pand­ing green ar­eas in the city. Mayor of Ulaan­baatar S.Bat­bold or­dered Gen­eral Man­ager T.Gan­tu­mur to fin­ish the cam­paign by Oc­to­ber 1 and sum­ma­rize its re­sults prior to Ulaan­baatar Day.

Deputy Mayor of Ulaan­baatar P.Ba­yarkhuu stated that ev­ery party as­signed to the cam­paign must pay spe­cial at­ten­tion to ex­e­cut­ing con­struc­tion, in­vest­ment and land­scap­ing works with high qual­ity, as­sign a ca­pa­ble man­ag­ing team, and re­port the progress on a quar­terly ba­sis.
