Re­serve hay now on sale with dis­counts

The gov­ern­ment has started sell­ing hay for dis­counted prices to prov­inces that are un­der­pre­pared for win­ter or fac­ing a harsh win­ter.

The national hay re­serve for win­ter ex­ceeded the planned vol­ume by 2.8 times, ac­cord­ing to Zu­u­nii Medee. The state is re­port­edly dis­tribut­ing 200 tons for free of charge to Khovd Province and sell­ing hay to soums in Go­vi­sum­ber Province with 50 per­cent dis­count.

The Min­istry of Fi­nance es­tab­lished a credit agree­ment worth 36.3 bil­lion MNT with 28 com­pa­nies and it re­ported that it has is­sued a loan of 10 bil­lion MNT to date. Zu­u­nii Medee re­ported that over 8,000 tons of an­i­mal feed was im­ported by 10 Mon­go­lian com­pa­nies for a grand to­tal of 1.2 bil­lion MNT.

The Min­istry of Food, Agri­cul­ture and Light In­dus­try signed a co­op­er­a­tion agree­ment with the gov­ern­ment of Rus­sia within the scope of “Let’s Get Through Win­ter and Spring” cam­paign. Through this work, the min­istry plans to dis­trib­ute 51,000 tons of an­i­mal feed to herders to help them spend the win­ter and spring with as lit­tle dam­age as pos­si­ble. The min­istry has em­ployed 34 com­pa­nies to sell an­i­mal feed, to­tal­ing to 40 bil­lion MNT, to soums and prov­inces, re­ported Zu­u­nii Medee.
