In the opening, Mayor of Dornod Province M.Badamsuren said, “Ethnic groups of Khalkh, Barga, Buryat, Uzemchin and Khamnigan have been living in the vast area of eastern Mongolia for long periods of time with their unique ways of life, traditions and customs. In the 21st century, the ethnic groups encountered the necessity to restore, safeguard and inherit the abundant heritages of their history, culture and traditions. Barga is Mongolia’s ethnic group which played an important role in the history of national freedom and independence.”
