Par­lia­ment con­ducts 2nd re­view of 2019 fis­cal bud­get

On Oc­to­ber 25, Par­lia­ment con­ducted the sec­ond re­view of the 2019 state bud­get, the 2019 bud­get for the So­cial In­sur­ance Fund and the 2019 bud­get of the Health In­sur­ance Fund.

Dur­ing the ses­sion, the ma­jor­ity of law­mak­ers in at­ten­dance de­cided to cut fi­nanc­ing of the government’s mea­sures for re­duc­ing air and en­vi­ron­ment pol­lu­tion in next year’s state bud­get by 80 bil­lion MNT, pro­posed fi­nanc­ing of Ed­u­ca­tion Loan Fund by 42 bil­lion MNT and fi­nanc­ing of mea­sures for car­ry­ing out cus­toms re­form by 12 bil­lion MNT.

They also agreed to in­crease the bud­get re­gard­ing child pro­tec­tion in next year’s state bud­get by 5.6 bil­lion MNT, and op­er­at­ing ex­pen­di­ture of the Na­tional Com­mit­tee on Gen­der Equal­ity by 512.4 mil­lion MNT.

At the end of the Oc­to­ber 25 ses­sion, Par­lia­ment sub­mit­ted the draft state bud­get to Par­lia­ment’s Stand­ing Com­mit­tee on Bud­get for prepa­ra­tion for the fi­nal par­lia­men­tary re­view.
