Israeli donation to farmers in Ayeyarwaddy region

Mizzima Business Weekly - - AFFAIRS NEWS -

As part of efforts to rehabilitate farmers hit by floods in the Ayeyarwaddy region, a team from the Israeli Embassy recently visited the town of Ngathaingchaung with a truck full of fertilizers, according to a press release on December 7.

The team was led by Israeli Ambassador Daniel Zonshine. The embassy handed over the fertilizers made in Israel to the farmers hit by the floods.

The festilizers will be used for winter crops of green gram and black gram, helping to produce better yields.

The embassy coordinated its activists with the local farmers’ organization, Institute for Peace and Social Justice, and local MP, Daw Hla Myat Thway.
