Agri­cul­tural ex­ports earn US$2.93 bil­lion in 2016-2017 fis­cal year

Agri­cul­tural ex­ports dur­ing the 2016-2017 fis­cal year earned more than US$2.93 bil­lion, re­ported the state-run news­pa­per The Global New Light of Myan­mar.

The amount is up by more than US$315mil­lion com­pared to that of the 2015-2016 fis­cal year.

This year’s earn­ing from agri­cul­tural ex­ports ac­counted for 25 per­cent of the to­tal ex­port vol­ume, the news­pa­per said cit­ing the fig­ures re­leased by the Com­merce Min­istry.

Myan­mar ex­ported rice, bro­ken rice, var­i­ous peas, rub­ber, sesame seeds, maize and var­i­ous foods in the fis­cal year.
