Agricultural exports earn US$2.93 billion in 2016-2017 fiscal year
Agricultural exports during the 2016-2017 fiscal year earned more than US$2.93 billion, reported the state-run newspaper The Global New Light of Myanmar.
The amount is up by more than US$315million compared to that of the 2015-2016 fiscal year.
This year’s earning from agricultural exports accounted for 25 percent of the total export volume, the newspaper said citing the figures released by the Commerce Ministry.
Myanmar exported rice, broken rice, various peas, rubber, sesame seeds, maize and various foods in the fiscal year.
