Union Par­lia­ment’s fifth ses­sion held in Nay Pyi Taw

The meet­ings of the Union Par­lia­ment’s fifth ses­sion were held on July 11 and 14 in Nay Pyi Taw.Dur­ing the Union Par­lia­ment meet­ing on July 11, the Joint Pub­lic Ac­counts Com­mit­tee’s re­port on the sta­tus of tax col­lec­tion for sec­ond six months of 2016-17 fis­cal year was con­firmed, ac­cord­ing to re­ports. Many MPs par­tic­i­pated in the dis­cus­sion about the mat­ter.

In the same par­lia­men­tary meet­ing on July 11, the Nat­u­ral Re­sources and En­vi­ron­men­tal Con­ser­va­tion Min­is­ter Ohn Win ex­plained the Pres­i­dent’s mo­tion to rat­ify the Doha Amend­ment of the Ky­oto Pro­to­col, with Myan­mar be­com­ing a mem­ber of the Paris Agree­ment on Cli­mate Change and a mem­ber of In­ter­na­tional En­vi­ron­men­tal Or­ga­ni­za­tion.The next meet­ing of the Union Par­lia­ment’s fifth ses­sion will be held on July 21.
