Fire broke out after fuel tanker and container truck crash
A fire broke out on Pyidaungsu Road in South Dagon township’s 26th ward at around 9:45 pm on August 22, after a road accident involving a fuel tanker truck and a container truck.
Due to the collision, the fuel leaked out and fire spread to five residential buildings and seven shops nearby. Including the fuel tanker truck, six vehicles caught on fire. According to the fire brigade’s estimations, the damages amount to K66.4 million. South Dagon Myoma Police Station has filed a lawsuit against the two drivers under sections 279 and 285 of the penal code.
