Cops of­fer re­ward for miss­ing top Is­lamists

Bangladesh po­lice of­fered a re­ward for two top Is­lamists ac­cused of spear­head­ing the rise of ex­trem­ism in the coun­try, which is reel­ing from a mass killing at a cafe in Dhaka. Po­lice an­nounced a 2 mil­lion taka (US$25,000) re­ward for in­for­ma­tion lead­ing to the ar­rest of Cana­dian ci­ti­zen Tamim Chowdhury, who dis­ap­peared af­ter al­legedly mas­ter­mind­ing the cafe at­tack. Po­lice are also searching for sacked army ma­jor Syed Mo­ham­mad Zi­aul Haq and of­fer­ing a sim­i­lar re­ward.
