Wire thieves busted
Two men were arrested for allegedly stealing wire cables from a water pump factory in Magwe Region’s Chauk township on September 11.
Acting on a tip, a worker caught Yankin township’s Ko Mya Khine, 33, in the factory with a saw capable of cutting wire. His accomplice fled the scene. Officials inspected the area and found that about 15 feet (4.6 metres) of wire had been taken. The workers determined that the second alleged thief was 22-year-old Ko Soe Min Hlaing, also from Yankin, and called the police, who hauled him in.
The accused face up to seven years in prison. occupied by U Tin Myine and his wife Daw Own Yee, of Margayi Forest Number 6, 3 miles from Nhat Soe Kwin, Taw Khaung Su village.
The tree fell and Daw Own Yee fled but U Tin Myine was trampled. His body was found covered in bruises.
