One dead, two in­jured, in mo­tor­cy­cle crash

One man is dead and two men have been se­ri­ously in­jured fol­low­ing a mo­tor­cy­cle ac­ci­dent that oc­curred in the early hours of Septem­ber 19.

Po­lice say that speed was the cause of the ac­ci­dent, which oc­curred on Pyay Road in Yan­gon’s Min­galar­don town­ship.

The three men, Ko Min, 37, Ko Nay Win, 30, and Ko Aung Min Oo, 37, were taken to In­sein Hos­pi­tal fol­low­ing the ac­ci­dent. The driver, Ko Min, died of his in­juries on the way to the hos­pi­tal. The other two men suf­fered head and chest in­juries.

Po­lice have opened an in­ves­ti­ga­tion into the de­ceased driver for neg­li­gent driv­ing, cul­pa­ble homi­cide due to neg­li­gence, and en­dan­ger­ing the lives and per­sonal safety of oth­ers un­der sec­tions 279, 304(a) and 338 of the Pe­nal Code.
