Po­lice ar­rest man over royal photo hack­ing

BRI­TISH po­lice have ar­rested a sus­pect fol­low­ing re­ports that 3000 pho­tographs had been hacked from Prince Wil­liam’s sis­ter-in-law Pippa Middleton and were up for sale.

The pic­tures were re­ported to have been stolen from Ms Middleton’s iCloud ac­count and in­cluded shots of her sis­ter Kate, plus her and Prince Wil­liam’s chil­dren Prince Ge­orge, three, and Princess Char­lotte, one.

Some­one had been in touch with the me­dia to offer them for sale, the re­ports added.

The Sun said it had been asked for £50,000 (US$65,000) for the shots.

Scot­land Yard po­lice head­quar­ters said they had ar­rested a 35-year-old man on sus­pi­cion of a Com­puter Mis­use Act of­fence.

Ms Middleton, 33, is en­gaged to hedge fund boss James Matthews and the cou­ple are ex­pected to get mar­ried next year.

The hacked photos also re­port­edly in­cluded shots of her own wed­ding prepa­ra­tions. –
