Police arrest man over royal photo hacking
BRITISH police have arrested a suspect following reports that 3000 photographs had been hacked from Prince William’s sister-in-law Pippa Middleton and were up for sale.
The pictures were reported to have been stolen from Ms Middleton’s iCloud account and included shots of her sister Kate, plus her and Prince William’s children Prince George, three, and Princess Charlotte, one.
Someone had been in touch with the media to offer them for sale, the reports added.
The Sun said it had been asked for £50,000 (US$65,000) for the shots.
Scotland Yard police headquarters said they had arrested a 35-year-old man on suspicion of a Computer Misuse Act offence.
Ms Middleton, 33, is engaged to hedge fund boss James Matthews and the couple are expected to get married next year.
The hacked photos also reportedly included shots of her own wedding preparations. –
