Monogamy case opened against Mandalay doctor
Mandalay police have opened two files under the monogamy law in response to complaints from two local women. A nurse at Mandalay General Hospital complained that her doctor husband had bigamously married another nurse from the Central Women’s Hospital in Thungedaw village, Kyaukse township, on July 1, without divorcing her. The complainant said she married her husband in 2010, and they have a son.
In the second case, a mother of three children resident in Thanlyekhmaw ward, Maha Aung Myay township, complained on October 9 that her husband was living with another woman, a KTV shop employee, in a hotel. – Than Naing Soe, translation by Win Thaw Tar
