Two dead in France gangland shootout
Two men were killed in a shootout in Marseille, which is known for its high crime levels, judicial sources said. The men’s bodies were found in a black vehicle with no number plates. While one had been known to police for drug use, the other had no criminal record. A third man, lightly wounded, was also found in the car and was arrested. They had been attacked by two men on a scooter. The latest killings brought to 28 the number of fatal shootings in the province of Bouches-du-Rhone, the majority in the city of Marseille, since the start of the year.
