Peru ex-pres­i­dent in money laun­der­ing case

A Peru­vian judge has or­dered for­mer pres­i­dent Ol­lanta Hu­mala to re­port to court ev­ery 30 days as a money laun­der­ing case in which he is a defendant is lit­i­gated. Judge Richard Con­cep­cion’s rul­ing also states that the ex-pres­i­dent can­not change ad­dresses and must post a US$15,000 bail.

Mr Hu­mala and his wife Na­dine Here­dia are ac­cused of laun­der­ing some $1.5 mil­lion al­legedly sent from Brazil and Venezuela to help fund his 2006 and 2011 pres­i­den­tial cam­paigns.
