BMW re­calls thou­sands of cars

BMW re­called thou­sands of ve­hi­cles due to pos­si­bly faulty airbags, in­clud­ing their new 7 Se­ries for a po­ten­tial fault in the SRS con­trol unit. Fol­low­ing other makes, BMW re­called about 840,000 cars in the U.S.A. from the 20072015 model years to re­place their Takata airbag in­fla­tors. Other is­sues be­fell the X3 and X4 ISOFIX child seats, as well as the front drive­shafts in the X5 and X6 re­sult­ing in over 200,000 U.S. re­calls.
