CSC del­e­ga­tion to Ti­bet

A ten-mem­ber multi-dis­ci­plinary del­e­ga­tion of China Study Cen­ter (CSC-Nepal) led by its sec­re­tary gen­eral Dr. Upen­dra Gautam vis­it­ing Ti­bet Au­ton­o­mous Re­gion of China at the in­vi­ta­tion of Ti­bet Academy of So­cial Sciences (TASS), held a dis­cus­sion on mat­ters of mu­tual in­ter­ests with Prof. Yang Dan, vice-pres­i­dent of the Ti­bet Univer­sity. The Del­e­ga­tion also par­tic­i­pated in a sem­i­nar on Deep­en­ing Co­op­er­a­tion Be­tween Nepal and China in col­lab­o­ra­tion with Ti­bet Academy of So­cial Sciences (TASS), Ti­betan side was led by Mr. Che Minghuai, party sec­re­tary of TASS. The del­e­ga­tion vis­ited Ti­bet pub­lic li­brary and pre­sented some publi­ca­tions of the China Study Cen­ter, Nepal to the li­brary. The del­e­ga­tion ob­served Lhasa Ur­ban Plan­ning and Con­struc­tion Ex­hi­bi­tion and eco­nomic- tech­no­log­i­cal area. A sec­ond sem­i­nar with TASS on pro­posed Co­op­er­a­tion be­tween CSC-Nepal and TASS is also planned to be held on Mon­day. TASS and CSC-Nepal have signed a mem­o­ran­dum of un­der­stand­ing be­tween the two or­ga­ni­za­tions for aca­demic ex­change and di­a­logue, vis­it­ing lec­ture and work on shar­ing of anal­y­sis and ex­pe­ri­ence through publi­ca­tion, trans­la­tion and re­search. The mem­bers of the Nepalese del­e­ga­tion come from the ar­eas of so­cial and eco­nomic devel­op­ment, pol­icy sci­ence, cul­ture, law and gov­er­nance, health, wa­ter re­sources en­gi­neer­ing, man­age­ment, lan­guage, tourism and me­dia. The del­e­ga­tion mem­bers are: Prof. Kr­ishna Pokharel, Dr. Yam Ba­hadur Thapa, Prof. Jag­man Gu­rung, Dr. Bipin Ad­hikari, Dr. Prakash Raj Ne­u­pane, Ajaya Lall Shrestha, Ashok Raj Pandey, Bal­mukunda Regmi and Bhauch Ya­dav.
