Exciting career and free offer at beauty college
Do you enjoy working with people?
Would you like the satisfaction that comes from helping people look and feel good about themselves?
You can be assured you’ll get all these things and more working in the beauty industry.
And if you pop along to the International College of Camille Albany tomorrow, April 3, or call the Newmarket campus for a personal tour you’ll experience first-hand a taste of what life in this exciting industry could be like.
A complimentary gift pack and tour are on offer and the school’s stunning new purpose-built facilities, including five classroom-treatment rooms, will be on show during guided tours run throughout the day.
“People will be able to see the campuses fully operational. It is truly a wonderful place to be,” says college head Belinda Dolan-Roberts.
Courses offered at the Albany and Newmarket campuses include a one-year beauty therapy diploma, an 18-month diploma and a six-month beauty specialist certifi which is run as a day or a night course.
To ensure they cater for all, the college has launched a new range of post-graduate courses for trained beauty therapists or for those who don’t want to complete a long course.
They now offer acrylic nail and make-up artistry courses with no prior beauty training needed.
Post-graduate courses in subjects such as makeup artistry, red vein removal, advanced waxing, nail art laser and intense pulse light therapy and microdermabrasion – the only internationally certified course in the country – are also on offer.
“We’re aiming for our campuses to become the post-graduate centre for New Zealand,” says Belinda.
Throughout their training students learn massage, manicure and pedicure, make-up, facials and waxing. Subjects such as anatomy and physiology, chemistry, business and health and safety are covered.
Work experience, trips to spas and client days ensure students gain working knowledge of the industry.
Students and teachers combine to organise fundraising events throughout the year – pamper parties for carers and patients at west Auckland and Mercy Hospice along with fundraising for breast cancer and mental health charities.
