Heritage protection for nine historic sites has been confirmed by Auckland City Council.
The adoption of district plan change 194 was approved at a meeting last month.
The change covers the Green Bay Mission Hall, the Blockhouse Bay seawall, St Joseph’s Catholic church in Grey Lynn, and a tram shelter in Western Springs.
It also includes four Mt Eden sites: Cucksey’s Buildings, Ambury’s Dairy, the war memorial entrance to Auckland Normal Intermediate and memorial gates at Mt Eden Normal Primary.
All sites will become category B heritage items.
