Beads and jew­ellery mak­ing classes

For Ja­nine Troughton and Ja­nine Stock­ley-Ny­gren, a pas­sion for jew­ellery has taken them fur­ther than they could have pos­si­bly imag­ined.

As founders of hugely suc­cess­ful jew­ellery com­pany Mag­pie’s Nest the two Ja­nines are pleased to an­nounce the com­mence­ment of a num­ber of jew­ellery classes – en­abling peo­ple to ben­e­fit from their skill and ex­per­tise while cre­at­ing their own stun­ning works of art.

The jew­ellery classes will be held dur­ing week­days, evenings and week­ends at Mag­pie’s Nest’s fac­tory di­rect re­tail out­let, lo­cated at Unit C1, 5 Douglas Alexan­der Pa­rade in Albany.

Here you’ll find end­of­sam­ples and ex­cess stock at prices that are sure to de­light. Each of Ja­nine and Ja­nine’s pieces are hand-crafted us­ing qual­ity glass beads sourced from all over the world in ev­ery colour imag­in­able, in ad­di­tion to an ex­ten­sive range of stun­ning Swarovski crys­tals and pearls.

You can choose from their de­light­ful ready­made se­lec­tion or al­low them to ‘De­sign for You’ a spe­cial neck­lace, bracelet, ear­rings or any other adornment that you de­sire.

For those want­ing to cre­ate their own mas­ter­piece, one of Mag­pie’s Nest’s be­gin­ner, in­ter­me­di­ate or project classes pro­vides the an­swer. Their ded­i­cated work­shop area is equipped with all the tools needed to get you started. And of course Ja­nine and Ja­nine are on hand to pro­vide step-by-step guid­ance and ad­vice.

In store, they also stock hun­dreds of dif­fer­ent types of bead and all the com­po­nents needed to make your own jew­ellery at home. There are beads to suit ev­ery bud­get and in a wide range of colours, sizes, tex­tures and styles.
