Hairstylist joins in campaign
A research trust and a hair professional are teaming up to help fight breast cancer.
The Breast Cancer Research Trust will benefi from the partnership with Rodney Wayne and Kerastase.
A stylist will diagnose each client’s scalp and hair needs then prescribe a personalised Ritual for a Cure treatment.
Rodney Wayne will donate $3 to the trust for every Ritual for a Cure experience purchased.
Trust chairwoman Hilary Lewis says it is delighted with the partnership.
“Rodney Wayne understands breast cancer is an issue that is close to the hearts of many of their clients and we are really pleased they are working with us to help find a cure,” she says.
The campaign got under way last month.
It hopes to raise more than $30,000 in total for breast cancer research.
Rodney Wayne says: “Breast cancer in this country claims the lives of too many women, and we are committed to helping the trust fund important research.
“Most women undergoing treatment for breast cancer have to face the harrowing prospect of losing their ‘crowning glory’ and so we are asking our clients to not only enjoy the Ritual for a Cure but also spend time thinking of how other women are unable to enjoy such an experience due to their illness,” Mr Wayne says.
The Breast Cancer Research Trust is New Zealand’s only breast cancer research charity.
