Fans of extreme sport can experience it on the big screen at SkyCity Theatre tonight.

The New Zealand Alpine Club is showing the latest adventure and extreme sport documentaries at 7.30pm.

The films all formed part of this year’s Banff Film Festival at the Canadian mountain resort in the Rockies.

hey cover a range of exploits, including extreme mountain biking on a unicycle, powder skiing off vertical slabs, ice climbing in abandoned Norwegian mines and cliff rock climbing without any ropes high above Greek waters.

People need to buy tickets in advance as the event usually sells out.

Tickets are $20 from Bivouac Outdoor stores Newmarket, Queen St and Sylvia Park and Outdoor Action, Barry’s Point Rd, Takapuna.

Or buy them online at www.auckland climber.org.nz.
