Warm support

Auckland City Harbour News - - Letters - RON HOOD Auckland city

In response to an article regarding the Tepid Baths (Auckland City Harbour News, May 9), I would like to stress how much I appreciate and use them.

As a retired 79-year-old living in Greys Ave I walk to the Tepid Baths for an enjoyable swim many times a week.

This double exercise is not only beneficial but I personally find it uplifting. It is obvious while I am there that I am not the only local user and that the other users are of all ages. From children learning to swim to teenagers and older persons completing many laps before they return to work or to their homes.

I would add that the cost of upgrading the baths would be money well spent in the interests of the whole community.
