Wedding photographs found
A couple’s wedding memories are waiting to be collected at the Avondale police station.
An album filled with wedding pictures of a young Japanese couple was found by a member of the public in the forecourt of the Waterview BP service station at the end of March.
Senior constable Pierre Hawaikirangi says it is in perfect condition.
“It is beautiful. They’ve spent a lot of money.”
He estimates the album and photos are worth about $2000 and were taken around the Joseph Savage Memorial, Bastion Pt and Orakei.
The photographs are A4 size with decorative frames.
In some, the couple are posed with a Rolls Royce car, but its owner says he has no record of being involved in the wedding, Mr Hawaikirangi says.
“It appears the car was superimposed on the photo.”
The photographer is connected with an outfit called Cheeze Photo or Professional Cheeze Photo World.
Mr Hawaikirangi says the couple may have been tourists and left the country but the fact the album was found locally indicates they might live in the area.
Call Mr Hawaikirangi on 820-5710.
