Want to be a great beauty therapist? It all starts here!
There’s a friendly, buzzing campus in Auckland that’s changing lives in a big way. The International College of Camille has a stellar reputation for preparing students just like you for rewarding careers in an exciting and growing industry.
Each year, hundreds of students from New Zealand and overseas choose the college for its impressive faculty, rich curriculum, top location, and international qualifi in the beauty therapy sector.
Among the legions of successful students that have walked out the gates of this college to top-flight careers is North Shore-based Melissa De Villiers.
In a few days, the 23year-old will be on her way to London where she will join the prestigious Steiner Training Centre for intensive additional training on the Steiner Signature Spa and Facial treatments.
“It will be a true test of what I learned at the International College of Camille,” says Melissa. “I will be in training before I head off sailing around the Caribbean and the coast of Mexico.”
While Melissa is clearly enjoying her moment in the sun, the fact is she has sweated every rung of the ladder. As well was rigorous classroom teaching, she had to undergo hands-on training under the supervision of world class faculty.
“The college leaves no stone unturned to ensure students get top ratings,” says Melissa. “We got helpful tips from our tutors so we were well prepared for our international examinations. The last six months of the 18 month Medi-Spa Course was amazing - Lawrence, our tutor, fine-tuned our skills to prepare us to be the best we can be.”
Melissa’s good with massage and body treatments, and she feels it was the college that spotted her talents and nurtured them. “I loved the eclectic environment, I really enjoyed the variety of the course; the make-up was fun, playing with colours and the fantasy make-up was amazing. And best of of all I made lots of new friends,” she says.
The college is extremely happy for her. “Melissa is a fantastic student; she is always willing to assist and truly has a passion for what she does,” says Belinda Dolan-Roberts, the head of the college. “We as a team wish her well for her future.”
So what lies ahead? “As of now I’m simply going to lie back and enjoy the experience. There are so many different areas you can specialise in, but that’s for later,” she says.
