Study cash up for grabs
Senior secondary and tertiary students can apply for a three-year scholarship from Bayer New Zealand and the Royal Society of New Zealand.
The BayerBoost environmental scholarship provides financial help to undertake environmental research during summer break.
Six scholarships of between $3000 and $6000 were awarded in 2007 and Bayer is calling for students to apply for research support during the 2008/9 summer break.
As well as funding, scholarship winners receive guidance from a host organisation to carry out their research.
To be eligible, students must be younger than 24, enrolled in a New Zealand senior secondary school or undergraduate tertiary programme, and studying environmental sciences or related areas.
