Powerful challenge for poor
Performers for Poverty want families to help those less fortunate and learn about what life is like without electricity.
They are looking for schools and groups to run the 48-hour power challenge, a fundraiser where people go without power for as long as possible and gain sponsorship for each hour they take part.
Proceeds go towards helping Performers for Poverty’s efforts in Fiji.
The charitable organisation provides teaching resources, classroom furniture, computers, medical supplies, clothes and books to villages, schools and medical centres in Fiji.
The organisation will also help with resources such as posters and sponsorship forms and food for groups taking part.
