Crime spree ends
Police have arrested three offenders, including a 14-year-old, after a crime spree on the evening of June 14.
Two males and a female were caught by police in Avondale after stealing a car and attempting a number of robberies.
The trio stole a cellphone from a victim in Ponsonby and tried to take money from two men in Mt Albert.
The offenders then headed to New Lynn and stole a purse from a parked car, say police.
They then attacked another car and its occupant.
The three then drove off and their car was spotted by a Henderson police car and a pursuit started.
The vehicle was spiked three times by police before it finally came to a stop in Avondale.
Avondale police caught the alleged offenders as they tried to escape and recovered the stolen cellphone.
All three were jointly charged and have been remanded on bail.
They will reappear in court on June 30.
