Auckland City Harbour News - - News -

Youthline is looking for more people to join their next round of volunteer training next month.

The training is divided into several parts and aims to improve the volunteers’ communication and listening skills.

Mentor Julian Barnett, who has been with Youthline for two years, says he loves working with the organisation.

“It’s really quite amazing to be with people who have the same passion and same desire to learn,” he says.

Youthline volunteers develop a wide variety of skills including organising seminars, visiting schools and running programmes with young people.

Programme co-ordinator Cathy Aiavao says being part of Youthline is a great way to meet people, learn more about yourself, improve your communication and give something back to the community.
