Catch bubs being cheeky
A cheeky baby caught on camera could earn one proud parent a family portrait worth more than $800.
To celebrate 15 years of the ASG Parent and Child Show, a competition is open for all Auckland parents to snap a photo of their baby doing something cheeky.
Account manager Leah Evans says the “cheekiest baby” is about capturing a child’s personality, rather than just being beautiful.
“The idea about your ‘beautiful baby’ competition was very much what happened 20 years ago. We wanted to play on that,” she says.
Three finalists from each region - central, North Shore, eastern bays, south and west Auckland – will be selected before the event and will win a $132 prize pack.
The overall winner will be announced at the show and will walk away with a family portrait session and an A3 sized canvas print from ImageMe worth $815.
General manager Rebecca Stewart says this year’s show features a wide range of exhibitors to meet the diverse needs of visitors.
“The show covers every baby base and offers a one-stop-shop for parents experiencing this particularly special phase of life,” she says.
The event will feature everything from maternity, antenatal and infant accessories to nutritional food, information and educational products for babies and young children.
World-renowned infant learning expert Dr Robert Titzer will be spreading the word on his “Your Baby Can Read” programme, and the importance of teaching children to read before they begin school.
Parenting seminars will answer questions and provide information and support while children will be entertained with dancing and singalong amusement.
The show runs from 10am to 5pm from October 31 to November 2 at the ASB Showgrounds, 217 Green Lane West, Greenlane.
Entries for the Cheekiest Baby competition close on October 24.
