Not too late to enrol for a vote on election day
So far 34,731 voters have enrolled in Tamaki Makaurau electorate.
Registrar of electors Sharon Reece says there was a late flurry of registrations in the final days before enrolment closed on October 8.
Across the country, enrolment in Maori electorates stands at 224,000, up from 204,000 at the same time before the 2005 election.
Voter turnout was poor across the Maori seats last election, with 67 percent of people enrolled casting their vote.
In Tamaki Makaurau the turnout was even lower, with just 62 percent having their say on polling day.
Voters can still enrol to cast a special vote up until the day before polling day, November 8.
