Leap into learning about endangered frogs at Auckland Zoo during Labour weekend.

The Cadbury Freddo Frog Roadshow will be at the zoo from tomorrow to Monday.

More than a third of the world’s amphibian species are threatened with extinction, says New Zealand fauna team leader Andrew Nelson.

“That includes our own archey’s frog, the most critically endangered and evolutionarily distinct frog in the world.

“We hope lots of Aucklanders will get along to the roadshow to discover more about these incredible animals that are so smart at keeping our ecosystems healthy.”

The roadshow’s Freddo Grove will be open between 10.30am and 1.30pm with fun activities for children.

Every visitor to the grove receives an educational booklet and will meet Freddo.

Frog storytelling sessions are from noon to 12.40pm.

The Auckland City Harbour News has a Freddo Frog pack to give away, including one zoo family pass, activity booklets, a children’s book and Cadbury Freddo goodies.
