Motat has free entry for month
Exploring history at Motat is free for Auckland City residents next month.
Motat is offering a free day visit to the museum in November with a voucher appearing in the Auckland City Harbour News today.
Residents can also present a flier, available at local libraries, their rates bill or proof of address.
Operations manager Derek Grieve says he wants to reintroduce the museum to Aucklanders, who help fund it through rates.
“We thought it was about time we showed the residents of Auckland City just what we have on offer these days.”
Latest attractions include FlightSim5, a simulation of flying historic airplanes including a DC3, Mosquito, a Vampire or Tiger Moth.
Other exhibitions include Girl Power, a show inspired by the strength, courage and determination of Kiwi women through the decades.
Free day entry is available from November 1 to 30.
