Kids’ trust concert a fundraiser
Singer Hollie Smith will take to the stage with local school children tomorrow night to raise money for special needs kids.
Children from Mt Roskill Primary will provide backup vocals when Hollie performs the song Sensitive To A Smile at the Raukatauri Trust fundraiser at the Auckland Town Hall.
The concert is organised to raise funds for the trust, which provides music therapy for special needs children.
Other performers include Che Fu and Supergroove and a range of goodies will be auctioned off throughout the evening.
The Raukatauri Music Trust was started by singer Hinewehi Mohi and her husband George.
It is named after their daughter Hineraukatauri, who has cerebral palsy.
Items going under the hammer include handpainted artwork from musicians Dave Dobbyn, Tim Finn, P Money and Tiki Taane, lunch with Colin Meads and a night playing Xbox 360 with Elemeno P.
Tickets are $275 and the concert runs from 6pm.
