Kids’ trust con­cert a fundraiser

Singer Hol­lie Smith will take to the stage with lo­cal school chil­dren to­mor­row night to raise money for spe­cial needs kids.

Chil­dren from Mt Roskill Pri­mary will pro­vide backup vo­cals when Hol­lie per­forms the song Sen­si­tive To A Smile at the Raukatauri Trust fundraiser at the Auck­land Town Hall.

The con­cert is or­gan­ised to raise funds for the trust, which pro­vides mu­sic ther­apy for spe­cial needs chil­dren.

Other per­form­ers in­clude Che Fu and Su­per­groove and a range of good­ies will be auc­tioned off through­out the evening.

The Raukatauri Mu­sic Trust was started by singer Hinewehi Mohi and her hus­band Ge­orge.

It is named af­ter their daugh­ter Hin­er­aukatauri, who has cere­bral palsy.

Items go­ing un­der the ham­mer in­clude hand­painted art­work from mu­si­cians Dave Dob­byn, Tim Finn, P Money and Tiki Taane, lunch with Colin Meads and a night play­ing Xbox 360 with Ele­meno P.

Tick­ets are $275 and the con­cert runs from 6pm.
