A new farmers’ market is starting in Grey Lynn next year and organisers are raising funds at Saturday’s Grey Lynn Park Festival.
Project manager Vincent Dickie says they are looking for local people to donate citrus fruit which can be turned into fresh juice and sold at the festival.
Market organisers need up to 50 crates of oranges and lemons.
Skilled community members are also being sought for the market’s committee.
An information evening about the project will be held next Wednesday at 7.30pm at the Grey Lynn Community Centre.
To have donated fruit collected, email fruit@glfm. co.nz or phone Winnie Lenihan on 360-7265.
