A pub­lic talk on sus­tain­able hous­ing is be­ing held at Grey Lynn li­brary to­mor­row.

The free event will ap­peal to any­one con­cerned about the qual­ity of their liv­ing en­vi­ron­ment.

Auck­land City Coun­cil’s eco-de­sign ad­viser Eion Scott will speak at the event, and says the Grey Lynn area is a reg­u­lar source of in­quiries, par­tic­u­larly from own­ers of old, draughty vil­las.

Mr Scott also of­fers up to two hours of free ad­vice on how to im­prove sus­tain­abil­ity, in­clud­ing a visit to the house or site.

“We can help peo­ple build more sus­tain­able homes which are health­ier, more comfortable and cheaper to run,” he says.

The talk is at the Grey Lynn li­brary, 474 Great North Rd, from 5pm to 6pm. Call 374-1314.
